The 53 continue their rapidly increasing collection with “Salaryman,” a new song that keeps firmly tied to the raw, uncompromising energy at the heart of the band’s garage rock ethos. It’s another punchy rock song from a band that’s clearly committed to keeping things direct.
The 53 embrace the traits that have become part of their musical identity, raw energy, straightforward songwriting, and a no-nonsense approach that gets straight to the heart of their sound. That garage-rock backbone is what makes the single so distinctive. Salaryman is for those who like rock music when it is boiled down to its bare essentials, attitude, energy, and a certain sense of urgency.
It is the latest addition to The 53’s growing catalog and also confirms the continuity of their approach. Rather than shying away from their raw rock character, which has defined their past work, the band embraces it and continues to build on it with another release that feels concentrated and purposeful.
