London-based indie singer/songwriter Andy Smythe is back with “Beautiful Day”, a warm and emotional new release that encourages us to slow down, look around, and cherish the moments that may so quickly pass us by.
Smythe is known for his unique persona, amazing vocal range, and rich, precisely crafted retro sound. And in “Beautiful Day,” that musical identity is married to a message rooted in something so wonderfully universal, discovering beauty in the small, flawless moments of everyday life.
The song arrives on the heels of Smythe’s sold-out gig at Blackheath Halls, and that experience appears to have played a large influence in developing the feeling behind the new track. Rather than attempting to replicate the scope of a live performance, “Beautiful Day” taps into the emotional essence of that experience, the community, the brightness, the love in the room.
“Beautiful Day” is a song about pausing to appreciate what is right in front of us can be a breath of fresh air in a world that often seems to move at a frantic pace. Smythe brings that sensation into the studio and makes a release that seems tied to real human experience.
