Charlotte Sands unveils “Afterlife” a pop-punk anthem that transcends time and space

Nashville’s burgeoning pop-punk powerhouse Charlotte Sands continues her unstoppable 2025 run with the release of her new single, “Afterlife,” an epic ode to a love that transcends lifetimes, universes, and timelines. The song continues the kinetic energy of “neckdeep” and “HUSH,” solidifying Sands as one of pop-punk’s most dynamic voices in today’s scene.

Co-written by Jutes along with Keith Sorrells and Keith “Ten4” Sorrells of The Orphanage, who also produced the song, “Afterlife” supercharges soaring Sands hooks with heart-thumping production. The result is a song that feels both urgent and eternal, an electrified rush that somehow captures the sense of a bond too strong to be contained by any single lifetime.

It’s about that connection with someone that feels so deep it might be eternal, Sands says. Like your souls have met in the thousand separate lifetimes, across every universe and every millennium. It is the elusive, perfect certainty that no matter what this life holds, you will always find your way back to each other again in the next life and every one after that. The accompanying lyric video, co-directed by Sands and Megan Clark, broadens the song’s exploration of what it means to deserve through a striking lens, allowing the lyrics to shine brightly against bold visuals.

“Afterlife” is sweeping and intimate, tender but explosive, a tribute not only to human connection, but also to the enduring magic of music. Every song she’s released this year has felt like her trying to blur the line between openness and an anthem for impenetrable emotions, showing why she’s fast becoming a voice for the pit-singing generation of alt-pop-punks.
