Some music can feel like just a mix of different songs, but Luigi Neighbours’ debut EP, "Right Person, Wrong Lifetime", feels more like a personal story shared with listeners. Released on October 2, this six-song project captures themes of grief, change, uncertainty, and the bravery to start fresh within its 21 minutes.
For Luigi, the journey to this EP was deeply influenced by a significant loss. In 2024, he experienced the unexpected passing of his father, which forced him to confront how suddenly life can change. His father had always been a huge supporter of his music career, making the loss even harder. From that heartbreak came a powerful understanding, there may never be a perfect time to pursue the life you truly desire. This idea is central to "Right Person, Wrong Lifetime". Instead of letting his loss crush his dreams, Luigi used it to fuel new opportunities. The result is a debut that reflects the emotional journey of starting over while facing life's unpredictability.
The title track, “Right Person, Wrong Lifetime,” stands out as one of the most memorable songs, capturing longing and life's unpredictability. Another song, “Surrogate You,” adds depth to the project, while “Supernatural” also leaves a strong impact, shaping the EP's overall emotional experience.
Throughout these six songs, Luigi Neighbours doesn’t shy away from sharing his struggles. Instead, "Right Person, Wrong Lifetime" finds meaning in those challenges. It’s a debut shaped by loss but ultimately focused on moving forward, an honest reminder that starting anew often begins with the decision not to wait for a better time.
