Mergui, an Israeli singer-songwriter based in Los Angeles, starts a new chapter full of emotion with the release of his latest single, "3 Tears." The song is his first release with Universal Records and REPUBLIC Collective, in partnership with Saban Music Partners. It is both a statement of growth and a quiet acknowledgment of the price of staying where love no longer lives.

"3 Tears" continues Mergui's exploration of openness after last month's "I Can't Make You Love Me." This time, though, it's clearer and more determined. The song starts with hard-hitting, personal verses that feel like they're telling a secret. Then it builds to a soaring chorus and ends with a symphonic finish. It's an emotional buildup that is carefully timed, mixing modern soul influences with polished pop sensibilities. It shows off an artist who knows when to hold back and when to let go.

Amy Allen, Jonathan Mergui, and Andrew Wells wrote and produced "3 Tears." The song feels planned and cohesive, with a balance of emotion and polished production. At first, there is a sense of restraint, which makes the eventual release hit even harder, as if the song itself were a reflection of the internal struggle it speaks to.

Lukas Colombo directed the music video for the song. It stars Mergui and Abigail Rose and adds to the song's story.
