KATiiE flips the script with empowering new single “Two Ways”

Brooklyn-based singer-songwriter KATiiE is making waves with her vibrant new single, "Two Ways." This fresh track follows her earlier song, "Infrared," and is part of her upcoming debut EP, "Fallout," which is expected to drop this September.

"Two Ways" is about change and growth. Originally written as a soft and reflective ballad, KATiiE teamed up with her longtime collaborator, producer John Young, to give the song a complete makeover. The result? A lively track that replaces gentle longing with a strong, dance-worthy beat, thanks to the driving bass and engaging guitar work.

KATiiE shares, It's funny to think it started as a ballad. I began with a simple synth line and a delicate melody. But when I played it for John, he suggested we switch things up and make it more upbeat and playful. Up to that point, most of my songs were softer, so this really helped me explore a bolder side of my writing. The spirit of empowerment shines through in "Two Ways." You can hear the difference in KATiiE's voice she delivers her lines with confidence and a sense of determination. The song captures the feeling of moving from a place of waiting to taking charge of your own life and decisions. It's more than just a breakup song, it's a powerful reminder of self-worth.

While her previous single "Infrared" showcased her dreamy, atmospheric sound, "Two Ways" reveals another layer of KATiiE's artistry, one that is bold, creative, and unapologetic in telling her story. With the release of Fallout approaching, these first two singles promise a unique journey for KATiiE in the indie pop scene.
