Written at a fulcrum in the artist’s life, "Unravel" blossomed from the end of a long-term relationship. It’s that fragile, messy snippet of time when the old you has disappeared, yet you haven’t been completely born again, and every lyric, every note feels like it’s holding steady in between ache and waking up.
"Unravel" offers intimacy from its first muted chord. The arrangement is simple, a modest melodic thread that lands with weight exactly because it isn’t cluttered. It’s as if every breath and every pause has been selected for a reason, shining a spotlight on the emotional weight carried in each bar.
The thin line between broken and quiet resolve is walked with the bracing closeness of a whisper in the ear. There is an impression of fumbling toward comprehension, of feeling one’s way ahead even without certainty.
