Post Animal punches through the existential fog on “What’s A Good Life”

Post Animal is back and ready to rock. The American band has released their third and final single from their upcoming album, "IRON," The single, "What's A Good Life," is their most powerful exploration of this big question yet. It feels like a bold statement filled with energy, emotion, and honesty.

The song kicks off with exciting guitar sounds and a steady beat that builds up like a train gaining speed. It bursts into a catchy chorus that bravely tackles the critical question of life. It feels like an anthem that comes from late-night jam sessions and long drives through the Midwest. With founding member Joe Keery back with the group, there's a strong vibe that this band is at its best when everyone is together. "What's A Good Life" is co-written and produced by all the band members, Dalton Allison, Jake Hirshland, Javi Reyes, Joe Keery, Matt Williams, and Wesley Toledo, and their teamwork shines through. Their voices blend like old friends chatting, while the guitars create a lively sound. Post Animal doesn't just sound good, they sound vibrant and full of life.

Then there's the music video. Directed by their longtime collaborator Pooneh Ghana, it takes the band into a fun, old-fashioned world of sword fights and battles, featuring a team called the Omaha Hell Hounds. This playful setting serves as a metaphor for perseverance, friendship, and the pursuit of what makes you feel alive. The band puts it perfectly. Great people, real friends, making sure to do what they love. This same spirit flows through the song, reminding us that the journey to find satisfaction is often where the real treasure lies.
