Closer reignite the spark with reflective new single "Int’u"

After a three-year break that felt even longer than a long flight, the Scottish band Closer is back with a new single, "Int'u." This track is a heartfelt tribute to the carefree days of youth, friendship, and the moments in between.

As the first glimpse of their upcoming third album, "Glimpses," set for release in June 2025, "Int'u" captures a thoughtful vibe, much like a letter from a bygone era. With dreamy vocals and sunny guitar sounds, the song feels like it's alive, gently unfolding and lingering in the memory. The song was created by lead singer David Wason, who was inspired after seeing old photos from their tours. He reflected on their past. This feeling is woven into every part of the song, which evokes late-night van rides, the smell of smoke in the air, and conversations that were more meaningful than anyone realized at the time.

Closer has always found a unique blend of rough edges and elegance, and "Int'u" shows that while they're a bit older and perhaps a little more worn, they're still chasing that same light. The music carries a genuine and heartfelt quality that feels authentic. The guitars create a sparkling sound reminiscent of car lights fading down a rainy street, while Wason's voice feels personal as if he's sharing a cherished memory that he's still coming to terms with.
