Joy (Anonymous) and Sugababes delivers a euphoric reboot with "Joy (Push the Button)"

It’s not every day that a remix turns into a holiday delight, but that’s precisely what happened when the London dance duo Joy (Anonymous) teamed up with the famous pop group Sugababes. Their new single, “Joy (Push the Button),” is now out and offers a bright, upbeat twist on the Sugababes’ hit song from 2005. This track might be the best surprise gift of 2023!

Created as a playful remix by Joy (Anonymous), comprising Henry Counsell and Louis Curran, the song gained popularity over the summer, boosting its presence on dance floors and at festivals across the UK. Surprisingly, the original artists loved it so much that instead of shutting it down, the Sugababes reached out with support, leading to an official collaboration. It started as just a fun project in the studio, the duo explained. We never thought it would officially get released. But with all the positive response and support from the Sugababes, we knew we had to make it happen.

This new track, featuring Joy (Anonymous) and Ed Phillips and written by former Sugababes members Dallas Austin, Heidi Range, Keisha Buchanan, and Mutya Buena, combines new sounds with familiar elements that fans love. It keeps the classic synth line and catchy chorus but adds Joy’s signature uplifting vibes, transforming the early 2000s hit into a fresh dance anthem for today.
